Prior to joining Roth Capital Partners, he held the position of Managing Director and Global Head of Clean Technology Research at Jefferies Group Inc. With over 20 years of capital markets experience, he is widely recognized as one of the pioneering research analysts in the Solar and New Energy Technologies sector. Mr. Pichel co-founded the CleanTech practice at Piper Jaffray in 2004 and has also worked as a Research Analyst in the Semiconductor, Electronic Manufacturing, and Emerging Technology sectors at Needham and Company and Unterberg Towbin. His expertise has earned him numerous accolades, including stock picking and earnings accuracy awards from reputable institutions such as Institutional Investor (II), Forbes, and FT/StarMine. Additionally, he has been ranked as a top analyst and Top Gun by The Wall Street Journal Best on the Street Analyst Survey. In the 2012 II All-American Team for Alternative Energy, he was ranked as a top analyst and had previously been a runner-up on two occasions. Mr. Pichel actively contributes to the field of clean technology and sustainability as a founding member of the Sierra Club Clean Tech Council and serves on the board of other non-profit organizations dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental causes. Mr. Pichel obtained his B.S. degree from Cornell University and went on to earn his M.B.A. from Fordham University. |
