Mr. Darda is a Managing Director, Chief Economist and Macrostrategist at ROTH MKM. He joined MKM Partners 19 years ago before Roth Capital Partners acquired the firm in 2023. Before joining MKM Partners, he was an international economist and macro strategist at the economics consulting firm Polyconomics, founded by the late Jude Wanniski. He began his career doing budget analysis and speechwriting in the Wisconsin State Legislature. He is a frequent guest on financial television and radio, especially in times of uncertainty. In addition, he is frequently quoted in the WSJ, NYT, Barrons, and other financial publications. Having started his career in the Wisconsin State Legislature, he understands how the legislative process works and how policy decisions will likely affect markets. He was a recurring guest at the prestigious Santa Columba monetary conference by the late Nobel Prize winner Robert A. Mundell. He has also been a guest lecturer at Columbia University, speaking on significant market trends that drive markets.
A Wisconsin native, Mr. Darda graduated with honors in Economics and Public Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Mr. Darda held the rank of black belt in Brazilian jujitsu and was a silver medalist at the 2021 IBJJF World Master Jiujitsu tournament in the brown belt division. He resides in Naples, Florida, with his wife Meg, a healthcare executive, and their Weimaraner Claus Von Darda.
